Here are some examples of some of the more popular Moab mountain bike day tours.
(Theses are just a few of the trails that Moab has to offer!)
DEAD HORSE POINT
MILEAGE: 9
TRAILHEAD: About 30 miles north of Moab; 45 minute van shuttle.
DIFFICULTY: Moderate to Intermediate Singletrack. The Intrepid Loop trail is a great introduction to singletrack riding (i.e., narrow trail wide enough for one bike). Need to be comfortable riding a bike. Good balance and agility are helpful. Minimal elevation gain/loss, but you will be up at approx. 6,000 ft above sea level.
TERRAIN: Mix of slickrock, packed dirt and sand. Some tight turns.
HIGHLIGHTS: Stunning views of the Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park. Be sure to stop at all the designated viewpoints
Bar M Trails- AKA Moab Brand Trails

MILEAGE: 6-12; additional more challenging terrain available, depending on riders’ abilities. The main Bar M trail is only 8 miles with additional trails that can be added like Lazy EZ, Deadman’s Ridge, Bar B, Rocking A and Circle O trails. The new Rusty Spur trail is perfect beginner single-track.
TRAILHEAD: 8 miles north of Moab; 15 minute van shuttle
DIFFICULTY: Easy – Moderate. The basic loop is our easiest tour, and perfect for beginners and families. No previous mt. bike experience necessary – our guides will teach you!
More challenging options with single-track riding (i.e., narrow trails, wide enough for one bike) are available to accommodate riders’ abilities and fitness.
TERRAIN: Basic loop: doubletrack jeep road. A few short hills and more challenging sections will introduce you to mountain biking, Moab-style, even some Slickrock!
Optional sections: twisting, turning packed dirt singletrack, slickrock with short climbs/descents, some sand.
HIGHLIGHTS: Great views of Arches National Park, including the Windows section, and the La Sal Mountains. This tour offers an opportunity to improve your skills with professional instruction.
BARTLETT WASH

MILEAGE: 12-16
TRAILHEAD: About 20 miles north of Moab; 40 minute van shuttle
DIFFICULTY: Intermediate. Previous off-road mt. bike riding experience preferred. Riders should have good strength and cardio fitness as well as technical riding experience in order to enjoy this ride.
TERRAIN: Mostly open slickrock terrain with steep and off-camber sections.
HIGHLIGHTS: This is a Slickrock playground with plenty of ledges, drops and bowls to sharpen skills. Bartlett offers an intermediate slickrock alternative to the advanced Slickrock Trail. Enjoying he vastness of these petrified sand dunes is a treat.

Hi there! We are looking for a day tour that does some of the White Rim Trail. We are not expert bikers – not technical really – and were looking for a good tour. We see you don’t do this tour, which is cool, but we heard your shop was very ‘in the know” so I thought no harm in asking. Can you recommend who does a good tour? Is Moab Cyclery OK? Any recommendations?
Thank you in advance!
Glenyse
