This funky little desert town is the beginning and the end of all great adventures in the spectacular Southeastern Utah red rock desert. Where is Poison Spider Bicycles?
497 North Main Street. Moab is small, you can’t miss us. Driving from Salt Lake City or Denver we are on the right side of HWY 191 close to the north edge of town. We are right across the street from the Hampton Inn. Coming from the 4 corners region we are on the left side after all 6 traffic lights. Look for the groovy mural painted on the side of our building.
Where Do I Stay In Moab?

Moab offers both “budget” and “elegant” lodging and everything in between. For larger groups you might want to look at renting a condo. Several hotels offer cheap “off season” rates November through February. Just like your rental bike, you want to reserve your lodging early.
Where Do I Camp?
Commercial Camping- Commercial campgrounds in Moab with showers and other amenities are available in or close to town. BLM land- primitive camping around Moab, no water, designated sites, first come first served, desert etiquette required. BLM fees are $4.00 to $8.00 per vehicle. Arches and Canyonlands National Parks- designated sites, primitive camping. Call for reservations , fees from $5.00 to $10.00 per vehicle.
How Do I Get To The Trail Heads?
Need a Ride? Some mountain bike rides are accessible from town; some require a shuttle. See our recommended rides for all levels of riders.
Whole Enchilada Shuttle Company departs several times daily from their shuttle lot (675 N. Main Street/Just up from the shop!) during the busy season. We rent bikes and bike racks for vehicles.
What’s To Eat?
In Moab, espresso and fine dining stand side by side with good old mom and pop greasy diners where a few bucks will get you some serious stick to your ribs grub. Check out Moab Happenings Menu Guide for suggestions or ask when you are at the store.
What’s Happening In The Evenings?
Night life in Moab consists of dining out in one of Moabs’ many restaurants or getting a brew from The Moab Brewery. You can also enjoy live music or DJ music at one of Moab’s private clubs. (Hint: “Private Club” means “bar” in Utah.) Don’t forget Utah has weird liquor laws!
What Else is Happening?
Believe it or not, bike riding isn’t the only thing to do in the red rock desert. Moab is a culturally vibrant small town. The Moab Film Society and the Moab Music Festival bring world class film and music to Moab. Local theater groups put on numerous great performances each year. Several times a year many of Moab’s merchants open up their doors in the evening for Moab’s Artwalk. You can check out the latest works of local artists while enjoying a fun, casual social event. Check out the art galleries and bookstores in downtown Moab. Moab’s library is also a great place to chill out. It was rated the “Best small library in America” in 2007.

Activities for the young and young hearted: Skateboard and BMX park- open to the public in Moab’s City Park. The Moab Dirt Jump park is also close to Poison Spider Bike Shop, ask us for directions. We also rent kids bikes. We can recommend rides for the whole family or direct you to the paved paths in town.
